Obituary: It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Bruce Scott Stevens on July 4, 2024. Bruce was born to Hilda and Melvin Stevens in Pugwash on March 19, 1965. He graduated from Pugwash District High School and went on to become an accountant. His career took him to Ottawa, Ont. for several years until he moved to Hammonds Plains, calling this home for many years. Bruce was a dedicated hard worker, very athletic, loved the outdoors and hunting. He was an avid hockey fan, always cheering on his favorite team, the Philadelphia Flyers. Bruce retired four years ago moving back to be closer to family and purchased a home in Wentworth and was working to renovate into his retirement home. He loved spending time with family, especially his niece's and nephew's who will all miss him dearly. Bruce is survived by his dad, Melvin; brothers, Stephen (Peggy), Craig (Wanda), and sister, Bonnie (Phillip). He was predeceased by his loving mother, Hilda. Bruce was truly the best son, brother, uncle and friend anyone could ever wish for, always willing to lend a hand to anyone who needed it. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten. By request there will be no visitation or funeral. Donations in memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
