  • Obituary: Noble, Homer Clifford - 86, Bridgetown, formerly of Torbrook Mines, died March 20, 1994 in the Soldier's Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born at West Indian Road, Hants County, he was a son of the late William Henry and Agnes (Pineo) Noble. He was a member and elder of the Torbrook Mines United Church and employed for many years with the Scotian Gold Cooperative Ltd. He is survived by his wife, the former Vera Charlotte Wallace; five sons; Malcolm (Mac), Elmsdale; Theodore (Ted); Harrietsfield; Richard, Beaverbank; Homer, Liverpool; Brian, Brooklyn, Yarmouth County; foster son, Phillip Croft. Kingston; three daughters, Sara (Sally) Johnson, Torbrook Mines; Joyce (Joy), Bridgetown; Mrs. Shari Wentworth, Liverpool; 16 grandchildren. He was predeceased by two sisters, Evelyn, Mary; seven brothers, Tennyson, Milton, Lewis, James, George, Theodore, Robert.Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. tonight in Warren T. Roop Funeral Home, Middleton. Funeral will be 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in Torbrook Mines United Church, Rev. Joseph Manchester officiating. Burial will be in Torbrook Mines Cemetery, family flowers only. Donations may be made to Torbrook Mines United Church or any charity.
