  • Obituary: Bridgewater was shocked on Monday morning upon receiving the intelligence of the sudden death of Mrs. Robert Taylor, under circumstances which were particularly sad and tragic. Mrs. Taylor was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Carter, well known in Bridgewater. She was born in Hantsport, in 1888. Two years later, Mr. carter and family came to Bridgewater, where Mrs. Taylor has lived, practically, ever since. She attended the Bridgewater School and later trained as a nurse, graduating from the Hartford Training School for Nurses in August, 1911. For two years she was night superintendent of nurses in a Hospital at Natick, Mass. She nursed several patients in and about Bridgewater, including her own mother, beside whom she faithfully stood through a long, last sickness. In March of 1916 she became Mrs. Robert Taylor, and, after a brief married life of but a little over three years, passed away early yesterday morning at the age of thirty. She leaves a son of two years, a husband, a father who four years ago lost his wife and but last winter lost a son, and the following brothers and sisters: R. F. Carter, A. E. Carter Mrs. R. C. Graves, W. J. Carter all in the United States, L. E. Carter in Ontario and M. W. Carter in Bridgewater, and other relatives and many friends. These, especially husband and father, receive the heartfelt sympathy of all who are acquainted with the circumstances. Mrs. Taylor was of a bright, cheery nature, always enjoying life, and popular among those who knew her. Exceedingly charitable in her disposition, many feel a heavy personal loss in her early departure. May He whose ways are veiled in mystery give His children faith to believe where they cannot see. The funeral will take place at two o'clock Thursday afternoon.
