  • Obituary: Halifax Herald 10/21/2005 LANGILLE, Sheldon Garnet - 68, Dartmouth, passed away October 20, 2005, in Dartmouth General Hospital. Born in Centreville, Kings Co., he was the son of Lloyd and Nellie Ells. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, Murray and Howard; sisters, Jean and Phyllis and Dorothy Balsar; and his biological parents, Walter and Hilda Langille. Surviving is his wife, Marilyn (Hall) Langille; brother, Paul, and several nieces and nephews. His two greatest interests were gardening and music. He was involved in church choirs, men's quartets and the Nova Scotia International Tattoo. His flower arranging skills won him many awards. He went on to study flower judging and judged flower shows throughout the province. Later he became President of the Nova Scotia Association of Garden Clubs. Throughout his working career he was involved mostly with community services having studied at NSIT and St. Mary's University. He retired in 1993 from the Department of Community Services in HRM. Cremation has taken place. No visitation by request. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Regal Road Baptist or to a charity of your choice. A memorial service will be held in Regal Road Baptist Church, 6 Regal Rd., Dartmouth, at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 22. A reception will be held in the church following the service. Interment will take place in Lakeview Cemetery, Kings Co., Saturday afternoon. Officiating Rev. Bryan Hagerman, Pastor of Regal Road, and Rev. Dr. Frank Guinta Jr., CABC Regional Minister.
