She was born in Berwick NS on September 16, 1937. She contracted polio during the polio epidemic of the 1950's but overcame that and went on to attend Normal College in Truro, graduating in 1959 and then taught in several Dartmouth schools retiring in 1992 after 33 years of service. She took pride in her flower gardens and loved nature. Family was very important to her. She is survived by her three siblings, Monty (Margaret), Judith (Lowell), and Basil (Kathy) as well several nieces and nephews. Marilyn was predeceased by her husband, Sheldon, her parents Rita and Basil Hall and nephew Lamont Hall. Special thanks go to Sud Rao who enabled her to live at home after her husband's death and also to the We Care workers who attended her so faithfully during the past few months. A celebration of her life will be held at Regal Road Baptist Church, 6 Regal Road Dartmouth on Thursday February 4 at 11:30 A.M. A reception will follow. Cremation has taken place and interment will occur at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Regal Road Baptist Church.
