Bent in the 66 year of her age, at her home in Forest Glade. The deceased passed away peacefully after a long and painful illness, which was borne without a murmur. The deceased was the daughter of Reis and Mary Stronach of East Margaretville. She joined the Baptist church at the early age of nine years and has lived a faithful, christian life, gladly doing all possible for the Master. For several years she was employed as teacher in the public schools, where she strove to inspire the pupils to high and noble ideals of life. Since her marriage to David Bent she has been a faithful wife and devoted mother, ever forgetful of self and thinking only of the comfort and happiness of others. She has always been a power for good in her every day life as well as in the church and in the cause of temperance. She leaves two sons and three daughters besides a host of relations and friends to mourn their irreparable loss. The Rev. H.B. Smith conducted the funeral services assisted by Rev. J. Craig. It had always been her delight to sing the praises of God and the mourning ones in their house of loneliness, have the blessed assurance that she is helping to swell the glad songs of Heaven and is free from all pale and suffering in her happy house above.
