He was a son of the late Everett and Alma (Higgins) Dickie. For over 30 years he was employed in highway construction throughout the Maritimes. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He is survived by his wife, the former Goldie Eaton. He was predeceased by two sisters, Thelma, Shirley Redden; three brothers, Garnet, Basil, Blair. A memorial service will be 11 a.m. July 27 in Middleton United Church, Middle Musquodoboit, Rev. Emily Kierstead officiating.
