He was a school teacher and farmer and had taught in Nova Scotia and Western Canada. He was a deacon in the Granville Centre Baptist Church. A very highly respected citizen, he will be greatly missed in his community. He is survived by his wife, formerly Miss. Vella Mills, of Truro, Nova Scotia and one brother, Carroll, of Granville Centre and a sister Miss Hazel Gilliatt of Waltham, Massachusetts, and two nieces and five nephews. A daughter, Doris, predeceased him in 1929. The funeral was held from the Baptist Church, Saturday at 2:30 p.m., conducted by Rev. David Shaw, with interment in the Wadeville Cemetery. The body rested at Chisholm's Funeral Parlor. The pall bearers were Gordon Eaton, Grand Eaton, Firth Balcom, Jack Troop, Percy Mills and Curtis Condon.
