  • Obituary: Sarah Josephine Larson Grover, 90, of Bagley, died January 8, 1999, at the Greensview Health Care Center in Bagley. She was born June 29, 1908, at Popple Township in Clearwater County. She was the daughter of Rudolph and Sena (Swenson) Larson. She was baptized on August 9, 1908, in the Gram Church and confirmed in the Lutheran faith at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Bagley. She attended school in Bagley, graduating in 1928. She attended Normal Training in 1929. She taught in rural schools for seven years. She married Fred Grover on January 1, 1936. They farmed until 1956 when they moved to Bagley. Sarah worked at several jobs in Bagley. She was a clerk at Lewie's Toggery, Lillegaard''s Clothing, at the Dry Cleaners and at the Historical Society. She was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church in Bagley and belonged to the ALCW and circles. She was a member of the Clearwater County Cancer Society for 25 years. Survivors include two sons, Sidney (Donna) of Tacoma, Washington, and John (Cheryl) of Bagley; five grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband on April 21, 1963; one daughter, Rena Faye; one sister, Pearl and three brothers, Sidney, Spencer and Prescott. Funeral services were Monday, January 11, at Faith Lutheran Church in Bagley with Rev. Dennis Brovold and Pastor Mardy Schermerhorn officiating. Interment was at the Bagley City Cemetery with arrangements by the Cease Family Funeral Home of Bagley.
