Born in Old Harry, Magdalen Islands, she was a daughter of the late Russell and Erma (Johnson) Dunn. Sue was a councillor at the Transition House and helped victims of family violence for many years. She was an avid curler and past member of the Truro Curling Club, enjoyed bowling in her later years and had a lifelong passion for gardening. Sue is survived by her sons, Jay (Becky), Crowes Mills and Paul (Janelle), Valley; granddaughters, Erica (Thomas), Lower Sackville and Laura (Tudor), Toronto, Ontario; sister, Frances, Bible Hill; brothers-in-law, Colin and Ralph, both of Truro; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Kent; sisters, Vera and Kathleen; brother-in-law, Charles, Wilf, Jack and Ken; sisters-in-law, Hazel, Shirley and Marion. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall – Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, where the family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Thursday, July 6, 2023. If so desired, donations to Truro Curling Club or Golden Age Bowling are welcomed. A private family burial will be held in Middle Stewiacke Cemetery at a later date.
