  • Obituary: LANGILL, Beulah Muriel 82, Wallace, Cumberland Co., passed away January 28, 2009, at home. Born in Hartford, she was a daughter of the late Archibald and Winnifred (Carter) Lewis. She had worked at the Frozen Food Plant in Oxford and in her younger years worked as a babysitter and a housekeeper. She loved reading books by Louis L'Amour (westerns), camping, bowling, attending country and bluegrass festivals, birthday and anniversary parties, and in later years spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of the CNIB and St. John's United Church, Wallace. Surviving are her children, Cecelia Baxter, Claude Langill, both of Wallace; LaVerne (Arnold) Teed, East Wallace; C. Holly (Margaret) Langill, Summerville, P.E.I.; Curtis Langill, Wallace; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren ; one great great- granddaughter; sisters, Frances Rushton, Oxford; Edith Bailey, Dartmouth; brothers, Gerald (Ida) Lewis, Oxford; Cecil Lewis, Pugwash. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Lorne Langill; son, Dwight; grandchildren, Judith and Dale; brothers, Stanley, Russell and George Lewis. Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday, January 30, in Mundle's Funeral Home, 204 Water St., Pugwash (243-2506), from where the funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 31, Rev. Connie MacNamara officiating. Burial in Riverside Cemetery, Wallace River, at a later date. Family flowers only. Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Canadian National Institute for the Blind.
