  • Obituary: BARTLETT, Gladys Mae - Truro, passed away peacefully June 6, 2006, in Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. Born in Brule, she was a daughter of the late James Isaac Langille and Florence Bell Perrin. She was a member of St. James Presbyterian Church. Gladys enjoyed bowling, golfing, and crocheting was her favourite pastime. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by her loving husband of almost 70 years, Gordon; daughters, Marie, Halifax, Bonnie, St. Catharines, Ont.; six grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren ; several nieces and nephews. Gladys was predeceased by sister, Helen Sandeson; brother, Arthur Langille; half-sisters, Jennie Douglas, Florence Thompson, Katherine Thompson; half-brothers, Stewart, Harry, Archie, Osborne, Freddie Langille, John Sinclair. Visitation will be held today from 7-9 p.m., funeral service on Friday at 10 a.m., both in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., with Rev. Dr. Brian Ross officiating. Interment in Watson Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations in her memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
