He was born August 16, 1921 in Waugh's River and was the son of the late John and Bessie (Wilson) Baillie. He was a carpenter by trade and also a farmer, a member of Clan Baillie, and a elder of Middleton Union Church for many years. He is survived by his wife of sixty years, Jean (Forbes); son, Arthur (Darlene); daughters, Elizabeth (Walter); Ruth (Aubrey); foster daughter, Paula Canning; 8 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; sister, Annie; sister-in-law, Jackie; numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Lloyd and Alex S.; brother-in-law, Alex Leslie; son-in-law, Allan. Visitation will be held today, 6-8 p.m. and funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday, Rev. Donald Sutherland officiating, all in Coulter's Funeral Home (657-3288) 48 Riverside Dr., P.O. Box 190, Tatamagouche, B0K 1V0. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Denmark.
