Mom was born on October 28, 1933 to the late Arthur E. Treen and Annie J. (Stevens) and was a loving daughter, sister, mother, nan and dear friend to many. Although she had a stroke a number of years ago and with the use of only her right hand, she enjoyed cross stitching, embroidery and making quilts. The wall of her room was blessed with the pictures of the many Willow Lodge staff's children to whom she made numerous quilts; all with her special brand of love. She had resided at the Willow Lodge for the past 7 years and with a special place in her heart for the care givers including those that she built exceptional friendships. The family wished to give each and everyone of you a heart felt thanks. Bertha is survived by her sister, Jean (Dave) Speakman, Tatamagouche; special sister-in-law and friend, Glenda Johnson, Halifax; sons, Floyd Langille, Tatamagouche; Donald Langille, Malagash; daughter, Kathy (Tim) MacDonald, Grand Prairie and extended family, daughter, Norma Stevens, Hamilton; and son, Duane Stevens, Malagash, daughter-in-law, Elaine (Brown) Langille, River John. She will be greatly missed by her grandson Anthony, Malagash along with the many other grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchilden along with the many other children that knew her as "Nan." She was also blessed with so many good friends and she loved each and everyone of you who she considered as family. Bertha was predeceased by not only her parents but also husbands, Donald Langille and Webster Stevens; son, Keith Langille; step-daughters, Joanne Tattrie and Elaine Stevens, and her oldest grand-son, David Langille. She was also predeceased by her brothers, Howard, Harold; sister, Dorothy, Anna, Cecelia and Grace. Bertha's wishes were to be cremated with a simple graveside service for family only. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Coulter's Funeral Home in Tatamagouche.
