Born in Parkdale, on November 17, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Richmond and Angie Rafuse. Joyce will be remembered for her loyalty and commitment to her church and her God as well as her community, where she lived her entire lifetime. Joyce was generous and gave her time freely to people in need. Surviving are her daughters, Judith (Peter), Caledonia; Kathy (John), Mount Pleasant; sons, Brian (Christine), Philip (Kim), all of Scarsdale; Gordon (Sherry), Bridgewater; grandchildren, Amanda, Adam (Candace), Tyler, Hiliary, Hannah; brothers, Hollis (Marguerite), Pinehurst; John (Rosemary), New Germany; sisters, Ardith Langille, Evangeline (John) MacLeod; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Doran. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today in Sweeny's Funeral Home, 4895 Route 10, New Germany. Join us for a celebration of Joyce's life at 2 p.m. Thursday in Parkdale - Maplewood Emmanuel United Baptist Church, Rev. Norman Hovland officiating.
