Born in Glenmont, she was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She loved country music and enjoyed a good toe-tapping song. She leaves behind a daughter, Debbie (Eric) Steeves; granddaughters, Lisa Irving and Tammy Patton; great granddaughter, Jessie McKay and her children; sisters-in-law, Lucy and Minnie Sheffield. Besides her parents, Allen and Emily Sheffield, she was predeceased by her first husband, Reginald Pineo; her second husband, Keith Palmer; daughter, Hazel Collier; sister, Florence; brothers, Ralph Sheffield, Adelbert Sheffield, Glen Sheffield; half-brothers, Augustus Hazel and Henry Hazel. Due to COVID-19 pandemic restrictions and regulations, an invitation-only funeral service will be held in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, Reverend Ivan Norton officiating. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the caring staff at Mountain Lea Lodge.
