Born at Stanley Section, Lunenburg County, he was a son of the late Maurice and Mabel (Mader) Carver. Maurice had owned and operated his own farm in Millville for over 50 years. He was a member of the Aylesford Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Marie (Lutz) Carver; daughter, Linda (Gordon) Hiltz, Yarmouth; son, John (Joanne) Carver, Millville; grandchildren, Michael (Karen) Hiltz, Monnette (Keith) Ebbett, Matthew (Kathryn) Hiltz, Andrew (Natasha) Hiltz, Joshua Hiltz, Tanya (Jason) Dykens, Crystal and John Carver; six great-grandchildren; stepmother, Mildred Carver, New Germany; sisters, Marjorie Mailman and Helen Pentz, Bridgewater; brothers, Roy (Doris) Carver, Port Hood; Wilfred (Carrie) Carver, Morristown; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Jean Carver. In keeping with Maurice's wishes, there will be no visitation. The funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, May 2, in H.C. Lindsay Memorial Chapel, Berwick, Rev. Clyde Lowe officiating. Burial in the Aylesford Union Cemetery. Family flowers only.
