  • Obituary: HALL, Frank Lorimer ~ Age 93, of South Berwick, Kings Co., passed away on Saturday, September 2, 2023, in Valley Hospice, Kentville. Born on July 7, 1930, in South Berwick, he was a son of the late John and Elizabeth (Palmer) Hall. Frank had attended both Dalhousie and Acadia Universities. He had worked at Scotiabank in Puerto Rico and for many years at head office in Toronto, Ontario. Frank was a faithful member of Berwick Trinity United Church. He was an avid golfer and a member of Berwick Heights Golf Club. Frank spent many winters in Florida. He enjoyed travelling, going on a cruise and went on a great trip to Portugal. Surviving are his wife the former Eleanor Salsman Simpson Morse; daughter, Nancy (Terrie) Crawford, Berwick; sons, David (Shannon) Simpson; Tim (Karen) Simpson, both of South Berwick; grandchildren, Dustin, Tiffanie, Tyler, Jared, Brennan and Carlie; six great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Irene Hall, Berwick; nieces, Kathy, Heather, Janice and Alyson. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife, the former Jean Nixon; brothers, P.O. Maxwell Hall (who served in R.C.A.F. and was killed in action in the Second World War) and Donald Hall. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. A service in celebration of Frank's life will take place at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, September 10, in Berwick Trinity United Church, 240 Commercial St., Berwick. Rev. Sheila Redden-Smith officiating, with a reception to follow in the church hall. Interment will take place in Berwick Cemetery.
