  • Obituary: NICHOLS, Ambrose Roy - 83, Aylesford, Kings Co., passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family, Tuesday, October 28, 2003, in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Aylesford, he was a son of the late Myron and Blanch (Morton) Nichols. He was a member of Aylesford United Church. Throughout his life, Ambrose was an avid farmer, a housing contractor, and was a member of the Nova Scotia Federation of Agriculture. Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Maude B. (Loomer) Nichols; children, Dr. Blair A. (Susan) Nichols, Wolfville; Terry R. (Debra) Nichols, Waterville; Darrell M. (Jane) Nichols, Toronto; Kathryn D. (Stephen) Rose, Elmsdale; Bradley E. Nichols, Oshawa, Ont.; grandchildren, Mark, Andrew, Patrick, David and Stephanie Nichols, April and Kenneth Nichols, Alex, Francine and Leslie Nichols, Kaitlin and Matthew Rose; sister, Evangeline (Jim) McGillivary, Brockville, Ont.; brothers, Laird (Yvonne) Nichols, Aylesford; Garth (Shirley) Nichols, Connecticut; several nieces, nephews. Visitation 3-5 p.m. Friday, October 31, funeral service 2 p.m. Saturday, November 1, both in H.C. Lindsay Memorial Chapel, 192 Commerical St., Berwick, Pastor Kay Dean D.M. officiating.
