Born in North Kingston, he was a son of the late Michael and Alice (Lantz) Keddy. Doug was a retired farmer who still enjoyed watching the day to day operations on the family farm. He loved playing cards and enjoyed going to dances. Doug was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his son James "Jimmie"; his sisters Beatrice and Evelyn and his brothers Randolph, Malcolm, George and Curtis. Interment in the North Kingston Cemetery.
