She attended Acadia University, later serving on the board of governors. She was an active member of Mahone Bay United Baptist Church; editor for many Baptist publications and served on the executive of the United Baptist Women's Missionary Union of Atlantic Canada. Surviving are step-daughters, Enid Conrad, Dartmouth; Audrie (Mrs. Gerald Boulet), Bridgenorth, Ontario; seven step-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; several cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, Rev. Leon; step-daughter, Phyllis. No visitation by request. Funeral 11 a.m. Monday in Mahone Bay United Baptist Church, Rev. Hazen Parent officiating. Burial in Park Cemetery, Mahone Bay. Immediate family flowers only. Donations to Mahone Bay United Baptist Church, Northwest United Baptist Church or New Cornwall United Baptist Church.
