Born in Brookfield, he was a son of the late Cecil and Edith (Archibald) Joyce. Burton was a long-time employee of Shaw Resources, formerly NS Sand and Gravel from where he retired. For his work with the Lions he was made an Honorary Life member of the Milford Club. He loved fishing, hunting and working in the woods. He is survived by his wife, Elsie of 68 years; sons, Les (Lori), Steven (Brenda); grandchildren, Morgan (Mike), Mandy (Fabian), John (Ashley), Jenna (Cory); great-grandchildren, Hayden, Kayden and Jaxon; brother, Edson (Betty); several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sons, Graham and Jeffrey. Cremation has taken place under the care of Ettinger Funeral Home, Shubenacadie. No visitation or funeral by request.
