The funeral of Alexander BARNHILL takes place today. Though chiefly connected with the milling industry, Mr. B. also identified himself with mining, taking an active part in the development of the Joggin Mines. In the latter enterprise he is represented by his son, Brun. BARNHILL and in the formwe by his other son, George BARNHILL. Besides these two members of the family, he is survived by his wife, and by his five daughters, all of whom are married, except the youngest. Another daughter, wife of Paymaster TRITES, died some time ago.

The funeral of late Alexander BARNHILL took place from his residence yesterday. The services at house and grave were conducted by Rev. L.G. Stevens and Rev. Sellar. The pall bearers were John TAPLEY, J.T. KENNEDY, Simon BAISLEY, H.U. MILLER, R.A. GREGORY, James VERNON.
