Born in Lower Truro he was a son of the late John B. and Mary (Ellis) Joyce. He was a life-long employee of J.G. Parker & Son Ltd., Truro. He operated a sawmill in Lower Truro for many years. He was an adherent of the Truro Heights United Baptist Church and the First Baptist Church Truro. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He is survivied by his wife the former Iris Sandeson and several nephews. He was predeceased by brothers Cecil and William and sister Emma. No visitation by request. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Thursday in the Mattatall Funeral Home, Truro, Rev. Stanley MacQueen officiating with burial in the Old Barns Cemetery.
