  • Obituary: Clarence Osmond Halifax Herald 4/7/2003 OSMOND, Clarence - 79, Bedford, passed away April 4, 2003, in the VG Site, QEII, Halifax. Born in Chelsea, Mass., he was a son of the late Norman and Marion (Taylor) Osmond. He was a veteran of the Second World War, serving overseas in the R.C.A.F. He was employed with the Department of National Defence at the Ammunition Depot in Bedford until his retirement in 1978. Clarence enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time at his camp on Lake Charlotte. He is survived by his wife, the former Jean Dalrymple; daughters, Donna Osmond (Donald Babcock), Bedford; Marlene Osmond, Bedford; sons, David (Brenda), Phinney Cove; Darrell, Bedford; sister, Marion Snow, Bedford; brothers, William, Bedford; Aubrey, Vancouver, B.C.; grandchildren, Kyle, Jason, Jennifer, and David; great-grandchild, Ethan. He was predeceased by sister, Florence Noble; brother, Richard; grandchild, Brian. Visitation will be 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today, funeral service 11 a.m. Tuesday, both in Atlantic Funeral Home, 125 Sackville Dr., Lower Sackville, Rev. Patricia Malin officiating. Burial will take place in Oakridge Memory Gardens. Reception to follow in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society.
