It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother on Thursday, July 20, 2006, in the New Halifax Infirmary, QEII. Born in Halifax on October 25, 1932, she was a daughter of the late William L. and Josephine M. (Gorman) Duggan. Agnes is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Douglas; daughter, Mary (Dave) MacDonald, Middle Sackville; sons, Douglas and David, Sackville; William (Susan), Windsor; Daniel, Bedford; Andrew (Mairi), Victoria, B.C.; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother, Kenneth (Marie), St. John's, N.L., and sister, Marie (Ken) Porter, Ottawa, Ont. She was predeceased by brothers, William and Ralph; sisters, Geraldine Chard and Mary Phyllis in childhood. Agnes was a breast cancer survivor for 35 years. Her love for her family sustained her through her struggles. She had a heart of gold and will be missed terribly. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Monday, July 24, in Atlantic Funeral Home, 6552 Bayers Rd., Halifax. Funeral mass will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 25, in St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church, Bayers Road, Halifax. Interment will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lower Sackville.
