Besides his parents, Bob will lovingly be remembered by his wife, Elizabeth "Beth"; daughter, Bret Mercer (Mike) and son Blake (Tony) all of Ontario; sisters, Joanne Sim (Hugh), New Glasgow; Michelle Parsonage (Frank), Lovat; Lisa Cullen (Brian), Kelowna; brother, Stephen (Myranis), Edmonton and several nieces and nephews. After growing up in Westville, Bob attended Dalhousie University and transferred to Ryerson University where he received a Diploma in Social Work. At the time of his death, Bob was the President of the Thorton View Resident's Council and sat on the Board of the Ontario Association of Resident's Councils.
