It is with profound sadness that the family of Jimmy announces his passing after a nine month battle with angiosarcoma. Jimmy passed peacefully at his home on November 20, 2009, surrounded by his family. Jimmy was born in Bristol on December 18, 1942 and was a son of the late Louis F. and Anna (Duncan) Pesino. After serving active duty with the U.S. Army, he joined the Bristol Police Force, retiring after twenty-five years as a detective. He then spent seventeen years as a rural mail carrier in Bristol for the U.S. Postal Service, retiring earlier this year. Jimmy is survived by his best friend and dearest love, his wife Sandra (Liljedahl) Pesino of Bristol; his loving son, Daniel Pesino of Bristol; his devoted daughters, Jill Lincoln and her husband, James of Bristol, and their children, Dylan, Josephine, and Kelsey all of whom he loved dearly; his daughter, Erin J. Pesino of Bristol who was always by his side during his illness; and his daughter, Kellie Schinkle and her husband, Dave of Bristol and their children, Derrick, Gabrielle, and Anthony. Jimmy's greatest legacy was the love he had for his family and the summers he enjoyed with them at his beloved Cape Cod. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, November 24, 2008 at 9:00 a.m. from Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Avenue, Bristol, to St. Joseph Church, 33 Queen Street, Bristol, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Full Military Honors will be offered at the Church, with cremation to follow.
