Gagnon, and Walter E. Lehtonen. Hazel was born April 28, 1914 in the Village of Port Elgin, New Brunswick, Canada and was a daughter of the late Arthur and Elizabeth (Chambers) Wallace. The family migrated to Bristol in 1925 after the untimely death of their father. She attended Bristol schools and became a naturalized United States Citizen in 1952. Hazel and Walter were married 34 years, and after their retirement, they divided their time between their homes in Bristol and DeLand, Florida for 13 years. She was a beautiful sewer, having learned the skill from her father who was a tailor and her mother, a seamstress. Hazel was also a prolific crocheter-a lifetime passion that won her many ribbons and a trophy at the fair. She also enjoyed music and played piano and organ and was an avid fan of Lawrence Welk. She was a member of the Ruth Rebekah Lodge # 24 of the International Order of Odd Fellows, and Prospect United Methodist Church, Bristol. She is survived by a daughter: Sarah K. Smith of Bristol; a son and daughter-in-law: Alfred and Patricia King of Ovid, NY; a sister: Vera Bough of Bristol; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Hazel was predeceased by twin sons: Arthur and Archie King, and three brothers: Ernest, Arthur and Robert Wallace. Funeral Services were held at Funk Funeral Home, Bristol.
