Born in Middleton, she was the daughter of the late Walter I. and Isabela C. (Stevenson) Baker. Miriam was a hair stylist and like to create costumes which she wore to events. She was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion for many years. Surviving is her husband, Willis Cole; children, Kevin Baker, Brenton Trenholm, Beverly Trenholm, Miriam "Mary" Trenholm; grandchildren, Jayson and Aaron; Step-daughter, Wanda Atkinson (Peter); brothers, Walter Baker and Blair Baker; sister-in-law, Rhonda Baker. She was predeceased by son, Ernest Mitchell Trenholm; brother, Vernon Baker; sister, Beverly Sears. Visitation will be held today, 7-9 p.m. in Coulter's Funeral Home, Tatamagouche. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, May 31, in the funeral home, Rev. Mary Anne Grant officiating. Burial will be 1 p.m. Friday, June 1 in Melvern Square Cemetery. Family flowers only.
