Born in French River, Colchester County, she was the daughter of the late Mac and Margaret (Tattrie) Cole. Muriel was a store clerk all of her working life. She was a longtime member of Sedgwick Memorial Presbyterian Church, Tatamagouche, choir member and Sunday school teacher as well as being a member of the Presbyterian Atlantic Missionary Society, Baptist Church Women's Missionary Society the United Church Women and Royal Canadian Legion Auxiliary, Branch 64, Tatamagouche. She was a devoted wife of 59 years to her husband, Gordon; also surviving is son, Rick (Sandra), PEI; grandsons, Ian (Ellen), Charlottetown; Ryan, Moncton; great grandson, Lachlan Micah; brother, Willis Cole (Miriam), Tatamagouche; sister, Phyllis Sutherland, Calgary; Gordon's half-brother, Fred Spinney, Bible Hill; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brother, Ernest Cole and his wife Elsie; brother-in-law, Bill Sutherland. Visitation will be held today 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in Coulter's Funeral Home (657-3288), 48 Riverside Dr., Tatamagouche and the Legion Auxiliary will conduct a tribute service at 6:30 p.m. in the funeral home. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 11 in Sedgwick Memorial Presbyterian Church, Tatamagouche, Rev. Mary Anne Grant officiating. Interment will be in Lockerby Memorial Cemetery.
