Born in Regina, Saskatchewan, she was a daughter of the late Dan and Myrtle (McNutt) Ferguson. Loyus was a member of the Nuttby Baptist Church, was very fond of animals and loved going to the family farm. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by her husband, Archibald Franklin; several nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sisters, Vivian Roop and Eriel Wagner.
