  • Obituary: Arlene E. (Haddigan) Duggan of Plymouth passed away at home on July 31, 2023, at the age of sixty-six. She was the beloved wife of the late Timothy Duggan; the loving mother of Tina Carroll of Bridgewater, Barbara Carroll of Pembroke, Matthew Carroll of Canada, and Ann Carroll of Plymouth; the cherished grandmother of Matthew, LeAnn, Alyssa, Dylan, Micheal, Michelle, James, Robert, Ethan, Matthew, Jr., and Elizabeth. She was the sister of Michelle Lique of Plymouth, Genevieve Haddigan of Marshfield, the late William Haddigan, Kevin Haddigan, Eleanore "Cookie" Smolinsky, Tina Haddigan, and Charles Haddigan. She also leaves many nieces and nephews. Arlene was born on March 6, 1957, in Norwood to the late William and Arlene (McNeil) Haddigan She grew up in Dedham and graduated from Brockton High School. She attended Massasoit Community College studying accounting and earned a bachelor's degree. She taught English as a second language. Arlene worked for twelve years as a third shift manager at Fisher Pierce and later as a Manager at Seven Eleven in Plymouth for twenty years until her diminished health forced her into retirement. She had a strong catholic faith and taught CCD at Holy Family Church in Rockland when her children were young. She worked at the Union Grove Club in Kingston and was responsible for organizing and running the special needs dances. She enjoyed bird watching and the eagle was her favorite bird. She also enjoyed going to the casino, visiting the beach, playing pool, collecting coins, and indulging in a banana split with her children and grandchildren. She will be remembered for her love of the soft drink "Pepsi" but most of all Arlene loved her family and spending time with them. She will be dearly missed.
