  • Obituary: Leroy "Max" Sallee, 83, passed away peacefully June 30, 2018 in Longmont, Colorado. Born September 3, 1934 in Meadville, Missouri to Elmer and Frances Sallee. Max graduated from Meadville High School, the University of Missouri and served in the US Navy on Flight Crew, traveling abroad. He also played the saxophone in the Navy band. He worked in Management at Caterpillar Dealerships Wagner and McCoy for 35 years. Outside of work, he lived a life devoted to his family and wife of 57 years, whom he married in Maine. He enjoyed his church, volunteering at the Colorado division of Wildlife and National Western Stock Show. He was a Mason with Masonic Lodge No. 12. He enjoyed his friends, traveling in his RV throughout the country, hiking, yard work, watching football, and WWF Wresting. Max is survived by his wife Peggy; son Aaron and wife Helen, who live in TX, and daughter Kristi Leonard and husband Brent, who live in Kansas; grandchildren Dr. Blair Lenhan, Drake and wife Kendra Lenhan, and Taylor Leonard; and great grandson William Lenhan. He also leaves behind a great many friends and extended family. He will be remembered for his keen sense of humor, kind heart, perfectionism, and his gift to talk. He will be dearly missed.
