She was the loving wife of Arthur Briggs for 29 years, and they raised 2 sons together: Ryan and Christopher. Born in Tatamagouche, she was the daughter of Grace (Moore) and Byron Tuttle. Patricia graduated Pugwash District High School in 1980, and then attended IW Akerley, graduating in 1984 with her LPN license. She worked in a variety of health care settings, most recently spending 10+ years in occupational medicine in Thompson. Believing that learning was a lifelong experience, Patricia graduated from Grant McEwen University in 2011 and became a Certified Disability Management Professional. She loved to travel and see new places, but Patricia always held Nova Scotia close to her heart. Patricia is survived by her husband Arthur, mother Grace Tuttle, mother-in-law Betty Briggs, sons Ryan and Christopher, and daughters-at-heart Lindsey (Chris) and Terra (Len), siblings Geneva, Norma (David), Allan (Marlene), Byron (Janet), Bonnie (Gerald), Michael (Heather), Linda (Teddy), and Carol, nieces and nephews Tamara, Shelby, Brandon, Brianna, Alex, Kayla, Brooke-Lynne, David, Mark, Adam, Sarah, Penny, Cory, Jody, Jeremy, Ben and Hilary. Patricia was predeceased by her father Byron Tuttle, her father-in-law Donald Briggs, grandparents Nina, Bain, Alex, and Merle, and siblings Lee and Jan. The funeral service will be held on Monday September 14 at 2:00 PM at Wesley-St. Matthew's United Church, Pugwash, with interment to follow at the Riverside Cemetery in Middleboro.
