Notes

  • Obituary: Natalie (Lasky) Wilson, 91, of Newport, NH passed away peacefully early Sunday morning September 19, 2021, while holding her daughter Paula's hand. She was born in Claremont, NH on August 19, 1930 to Alexander and Mary (Kuzmich) Lasky. She was the next to the youngest of 9 children, predeceased by sisters; Rita, Betty, and Jean, and brothers, Alec, Peter, and George. She is survived by sisters, Mary Raymond and Valeria Simmons. In 1949, Nat married her husband, Douglas Wilson, whom she shared 56 years together until his passing in 2006. They lived in Claremont, NH where they had 3 daughters, Jeanne (James) Orrok, Dorothy (Lewis) Maynard, and Paula Wilson. In 1968, the family moved to Newport, NH. Doug and Nat bought the family farm from Doug's mother, Ruth. Nat was a gardener, most of her vegetables were canned. She was known for her cooking. Homemade wild strawberry jam, sauerkraut, kielbasa, and blueberry grunt just to name a few of her family's favorites. When Doug retired, the farm was sold and a smaller house was bought in Newport and another in Fort Myers, FL with half a year spent in each place. After Doug's passing, Nat still enjoyed her gardening and cooking. The last couple of years she would read and watch the local wildlife, especially birds. Hummingbirds were her favorite with feeders out in early May to the beginning of October. Along with her sisters and daughters, she is survived by grandchildren, Nicole, Stephenie, Steve (Chip) and Candace and great-grandchildren, Josh, Hadley, James, and Emmy, a very special sister in law, Judy (Hally) Wilson, and a wonderful friend and adopted daughter and her husband, Audrey (Kim) Richardson. A special thanks to: Lake Sunapee VNA and Hospice, especially her nurse Michele, you are an angel on earth. Sullivan County Meals on Wheels, she liked most of the meals except the mac and cheese. It was yucky! Sean Lyons of Life Long Care, thank you for always listening to her and making her feel comfortable and special. No services will be held. Memorial contributions can be made to Lake Sunapee VNA and Hospice or to Sullivan County Meals on Wheels. Newton-Bartlett Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
