Born in Pugwash he was a son of the late Henry and Greta (Peers) Smith. Kenny retired from the Canadian Salt Company after 30 years of service. He was an avid Toronto Maple Leaf's fan, enjoyed playing and watching hockey and most recently enjoyed curling. He is survived by his son, Trevor, Fredericton, N.B.; brother, Henry (Karen) Smith, Truro; brother-in-law, Cecil McIver, Pugwash; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his partner, Darlene Ripley on December 6, 2022; siblings, Mary Lou, Bill, Dolly, Dorothy and David. A funeral service for Kenny and Darlene followed by a reception will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, January 13, 2023, at Mundle's Funeral Home, Pugwash.
