Born in Green Oaks, he was a son of the late Joseph and Gladys (Phillips) Hobson, Green Oaks. Charlie was employed by the Department of Agriculture for 41 years and was involved with the repair and upkeep of the dykelands throughout Colchester County and surrounding areas. He was a part-time farmer and enjoyed hunting and wood-working. In earlier years, he enjoyed dancing with Lois. He is survived by his wife, Lois (Bartlett), Green Oaks; sons, Kelly (Peggy) Jeffers, Truro, Keith (Ann) Jeffers, Shubenacadie; sisters, Lillian Hobson, Middle Stewiacke, Eva Bentley, Toronto, Ethel (Layton) Burris, Hilden; brother, Ernest (Donna), Green Oaks; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter, Kim Elizabeth Jeffers. No visitation by request. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, November 22nd at 1:00 pm in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street, Truro with Rev. Dan Gunn officiating. Interment in Fisher Creek Cemetery, Green Oaks. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
