It is with great sadness and broken hearts that we announce the passing of Clayton on Monday, February 8, 2010 in Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. Born in Bible Hill, he was a son of the late James and Erma (Langille) Kaulback. Clayton served in the Army and Navy in his earlier years. During his career, Clayton worked in the retail grocery business as manager at various stores throughout the area. He worked at the Department of highways, sign shop in Truro. Clayton retired as a Commissionaire from the Debert Base. He always worked hard at whatever he set his mind to do. He lived for politics and always enjoyed a good discussion, no matter what party it was. He was very interested in watching his grandchildren play hockey and soccer. He was a loving and caring person who always put his family first. Clayton is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Helen (Sellick) Kaulback; sons, Garry (Annie), Upper Brookside, Randy (Gladys), Bible Hill; daughter, Faye, Bible Hill; grandsons, Clayton, Craig, Eric, Ryker, Shane and Steven; granddaughters, Chandra, Chelsea and Janet; nine great-grandchildren; brother, Wayne (Wendy), Prince George, BC; sisters, Connie Burke, Saginaw, Michigan and Diane Carleton, Shortts Lake; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a grandson, Myles; sister, Maxine. There will be a celebration of Clayton's life on Thursday, February 11 at 7 p.m., in the Peoples Church, 15 Elm Street, Truro. Pastor Ken Fillmore officiating. Burial will be held at a later date in Old Barns Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Peoples Church or to a charity of choice.
