  • Obituary: KENNEDY, Kenneth - 85, Wallace, passed away December 30, 2002, in Lillian Fraser Memorial Hospital, Tatamagouche. Born in Pugwash, he was a son of the late Clarence and Jessie (Simpson) Kennedy. His life and passion was following in his father's footsteps in the Lobster industry, having founded and operated with his family "Wallace Fisheries". He spent a total of 50 years in and around the industry. He was a well-known individual within the community and enjoyed participating in community events. He loved to get out and watch his grandsons play school basketball. Surviving are his long-time companion, Verna Teed; daughter, Jean (Peter Roy), Rothsey, N.B.; sons, Clarence of Wallace and Calgary; Charles (Annick), Wallace; Colin (Elaine MacKinnon), Truro; grandsons, Michael Roy, Jonathan and Joshua Kennedy; niece, Evelyn Kennedy, Bridgewater. He was predeceased by his wife, Amy; brother, Everett. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, funeral service 2 p.m. Thursday, both in Mundle's Funeral Home, Pastor Kirk Hubick officiating. Cremation will follow. Interment will be at a later date in Riverside Cemetery, Wallace River.
