  • Obituary: CARR, Anna Celestine Peacefully at Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital, Burlington, with her family at her side, on Thursday, September 1, 2011 in her 81st year. Anna, beloved wife and best friend of D. George Carr for over 60 years. Loving mother of Jacqueline Carr Granger, David and his wife Lynn and Victor. Loving Nana of Jeffrey Granger, Marvin, Tammy, Jason, Kristine, Emily Carr and great nana of Caleb Granger, Cori and Kira Carr. Dear sister of Ronald Walsh and his wife Renee, Stephen Walsh and his wife Olive, Stuart Walsh and his wife Vivian, and sister-in-law of Glen and his wife Juanita, and Audrey. Predeceased by her brother Walter and sisters Jean, Agnes, Dorothy and Barbara. She will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Anna worked for many years with the Hamilton Wentworth Separate School Board as the school secretary, where she loved her job and working with children. A Special thank you to all the hospital staff on 5 South for the compassionate care given to Anna. Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line, (one stop light north of QEW) BURLINGTON, (905-632-3333) on Monday, September 5 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. where Funeral Prayers will be held in the Chapel on Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Burlington. Reception to follow at the Funeral Home. For those who wish, donations in memory of Anna, to the charity of your choice would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
