Born in Amherst, NS, she was a daughter of the late Bill and Helen Hope. Linda loved to dance, fish and spending time with her kids and grandchildren. She had many carnival adventures. In recent years you could find Linda out at the mall selling her homemade bake goods and crafts. Linda is survived by her husband, James Burke of Amherst; children, John, Leon (Janey), DJ (Robbie), Brent (Stephanie), Sandi (Jeff) and Bruce (Amanda) all of Amherst; 17 grandchildren, Amy, Marley, Scott, Sarah, Christopher, Samantha, Eragon, Arwen, Hayden, Leigh, Riece, Issac, Logan, Jessa, Shane, Jasmin and Joyce; 13 great grandchildren; siblings, Bruce (Barb) of Ontario, Bill (Helen) of Amherst and Sheila (Chris) of Ontario; as well as several nieces and nephews and extended family. Besides her parents, Linda was predeceased by her brother, Ross. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Campbell's Funeral Home, 98 Church Street, Amherst, NS, 902-667-9906. A celebration of Linda's life will take place on Saturday September 10, 2022 from 1-4pm held at the Amherst Fire Hall, 62 Albion Street, Amherst, NS. A private burial will take place in the Amherst Cemetery. In lieu of floral tributes, memorial contributions can be made in Linda's memory to After The School Bell Food Program or the Cumberland Hospice.
