Born February 15, 1924, he was a son of the late Clifford and Margaret (Manning) Wiswell. He was retired from Pittsburg Paint and Glass, having served as a sales representative and district manager. He was a veteran of the Second World War, having served with the RCAF in France and Germany. He was a member of Lawn Bowls Nova Scotia, having served on the executive, and was also a past president of the Bedford Lawn Bowlers Association, and also served on the executive of Kings-Edgehill. He was the devoted husband to his wife of 54 years, Kathryn Marie (Small) Wiswell; loving father to daughters, Susan (David) Siscoe, Ottawa, Ont.; Kathy (Bob) Cox, Yarmouth; Martha (Wayne) Gibbs, Saint John, N.B.; Betty Jane Wiswell (Lynda), Barrie, Ont.; grandchildren, Carolyn, Scott, Matthew, Stasia, Robbie, and Billy; great-grandchildren, Jacob and Brody; sisters, Kathryn Bowen, Betty Wiswell, both of Halifax. There will be no visitation by request. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 10, in Saint Peter's Anglican Church, Birch Cove, Rev. Jane Clattenburg officiating. Interment will take place at a later date. A reception will follow in Bedford Lawn Bowling Club. It has been requested that there be family flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian National Institute for the Blind or Canadian Cancer Society.
