Born December 19, 1932, in Beaver Brook, she was a daughter of the late Cyrus and Ellen (Archibald) Burgess. Lorena enjoyed music, dancing, cooking and baking. In earlier years, she taught school in Green Oak. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend who always put the needs of others before her own. She never sought recognition nor did she like to be "fussed over"; she was happiest when she was giving of herself to help others. Lorena is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Frederick William "Fred" Creelman; children, Kathy (Kevin) MacDonald, Randy Creelman (Bonna Chapman), Joanne Burris, Roddie Creelman, all of Valley; Lisa Creelman (Michael Rideout), Bible Hill; grandchildren, Sean (Ame), Colin (Andrea), Sonia, Cody, Joshua, Bradley, Chantel, Cody F.; great granddaughters, Sophia, Selena; sisters, Mary (Walter) McNutt, Bible Hill; Doreen (Neil) MacMaster, Porters Lake; brothers, Glendon Burgess, Ontario; Dale Burgess, Truro; several nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Rhoda; brothers, Douglas, David. Special thanks are extended to Wynn Park Villa for the excellent care given and love shown to Lorena over the past number of years and also to the staff of 4th Floor, Colchester Regional Hospital for your care and compassion during the last few days. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall ~ Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, where Lorena's family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m., Monday, October 24, 2011, and where the funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Tuesday, October 25, 2011, The Reverend Lori Ramsey officiating. Reception will follow. Interment in Bible Hill Cemetery, Warren Drive, Bible Hill. Family flowers only.
