J. Metal Fabrication Obituary: Park, Irving Dexter - 55, of Waterloo, Ontario, formerly of Salmon River, passed away peacefully at home on April 3, 2007. Born in Truro, he was a son of the late Burton and Arlene (Upham) Park. Irving worked at Kent Homes, where he started driving trucks. He then moved to Ontario and became a Transfer Truck driver for many years. For the last 10 years he worked as a supervisor for R. J. Metal Fabrication. He is survived by his daughter, Amanda GooGoo; three grandchildren, Shania, Nichelle and Logan; sisters Sheila Hughes, Belmont; Janet (Lev) Park, Truro; Judy (Mrs. Allen Thompson), Salmon River Road; Pearl Park, British Columbia; Darlene (Mrs. Gary Higgins), Truro; brothers Wendell (Diane), Greenfield; Terry (Debbie), Bible Hill; Stacy (Roxy), West Bank, British Columbia; many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 9, from 7-9pm. Funeral Service on Tuesday, April 10 at 2pm, both in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street, Truro. Rev. Darrell Feltmate officiating. Interment in the Watson Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice.
