(Laxton) Tanch, age 91, of Lynn, died Sunday at Atlantic Rest Home in Lynn. She was the wife of the late Walter M. Tanch. Born in Swampscott, she was the daughter of the late Ira and Margaretta (Curtis) Laxton. She lived in Swampscott for the greater part of her life. A homemaker, Martha was a member of the First Church in Swampscott, Congregational. She also enjoyed dancing and walking, and was often seen walking the beach. She is survived by her three daughters, two sons, her sister, her brother, nine grandchildren, several greatgrandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Barbara Meade and Ann Nestor. Service Information: A memorial graveside service will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. in Harmony Grove Cemetery, 30 Grove St., Salem, MA.
