Cichon, 73, of New Hartford, died suddenly at his home on June 20, 2018. He was born March 2, 1945 in Bristol, CT to the late Stanley and Edna Cichon (Souney). He was raised in Farmington, CT where he met his wife of 51 years, Pauline (Warner), in elementary school. Retiring as a machine operator from Theis Steel in Bristol, John spent his time pursuing his life-long interest in sport hunting and fishing. For over half a century he worked, raised a family and enjoyed the rural environment of New England. Whether through membership in local fish and game associations, involvement in local land management or simply loyally participating in Local and State wildlife programs, John contributed a substantial amount of his time and money supporting outdoor conservationism. In addition to his wife Pauline, John is survived by their two children; son Jason Cichon and his wife Sharon of Burlington, CT and daughter Suzanne Cichon of Farmington, CT; four nieces, Lori, Kimberly, Michele and Laura and two nephews, Rob and Paul.
