Gordon Fletcher, 83 of Montrose, Colchester County, died Saturday in Colchester Hospital, Truro. Born in Montrose, he was a son of the late Charles and Jane (Fulton) Fletcher. He was a lifelong resident of Montrose where he was a well known farmer. He was a member of the Knights of Pythias Lodge and a member of the Presbyterian Church. Surviving are his wife, the former Cora Willigar; three sons, Robert, Windsor; Willard, Calgary; Darrell, at home; three daughters, Elaine (Mrs. Paul McCool), Barrie, Ont.; Evelyn (Mrs. Arthur Erickson), Lethbridge, Alb.; and Greta (Mrs. Harry Setzer), Inuvik, N.W.T.; a brother, Willard, Mission City, B.C.; a sister, Irma (Mrs. Garnet Streatch), Shubenacadie; and 8 grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother, Roy. The body is at McCullough and Patriquin Funeral Home, Great Village, where funeral service will be held Tuesday at 2:30 p.m., Rev. J. Lester MacFarlane officiating. burial will be in Portaupique Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Nova Scotia Heart Foundation."
