Don Kolkmeier officiating. Burial will be in Needville Public Cemetery. Mrs. Burgess died Monday morning in Polly Ryon Memorial Hospital. She had held the post of nursing director there for 17 years. She was a member of the State Association of Nurse Administrators and the local chapter and a member of the Registered Nurses Association. She was a native of Brenham. Survivors include two sons, Robert Burgess of Rosenberg and Richard L. Burgess of Van Vleck; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Graeber of Needville; brother, Henry Graeber of West Columbia. Friends may call at the Garmany & Carden Funeral Home Chapel in Rosenberg after 5 p.m. today. The family suggests memorials to be made to the American Cancer Society or to the memorial fund of St. John's United Church of Christ.
