Born Jan 9, 1947, in Brockton, MA, the son of Wentworth and Elsie (Leckstrom) Rockwell. He married Rogene "Jean" Carlson on April 4, 1970, in Rockford, IL. Paul attended North Park College on an athletic scholarship. He attended and was active in First Free Evangelical Church. Paul was an avid golfer, and loved spending time at his cabin in WI. He founded SJ Carlson Fire Protection in 1993, where he was actively involved as president. Survived by wife, "Jean" of Rockford; children, Nikole Ann Rockwell of Burbank, CA, and Peter (Rebecca) Rockwell of Rockford; brother, Peter (Lois) Rockwell. Predeceased by his parents. Memorial service at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 14, in First Evangelical Free Church, 2223 N. Mulford Road, with Dr. Pastor Rusty Hayes officiating. Visitation from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 13, in Olson Funeral & Cremation Services, Fred C. Olson Chapel, 1001 Second Ave., and from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Saturday in the church.
